Growing Conditions

January 29, 2013

To Our Valued Customer:

Growing conditions in Arizona and California this entire season have gone from well above normal temperatures to multiple days of freezing temperatures! These extreme changes in temperature have caused the crops to suffer severe damage that will take several weeks to grow out of, provided we have normal weather for the rest of the growing season.

The week of January 14 we continued to see cold temperatures and very dry windy afternoons. Now that most of the subfreezing temperatures are behind us, we are evaluating the extent of the damage to our existing crops on a daily basis. We will continue to see blistering, peeling and burn! Due to the dry winds the outer leaves and cap leaves have been desiccated several layers deep.

We will see noticeable yield loss and quality issues through the month of January and possibly the next several weeks.

In spite of these challenging conditions GreenGate Fresh will continue to provide you with the best quality product within the industry and the supplies requested.

Should you have any questions or concerns please contact GreenGate Fresh Sales.

As the month of January comes to an end we would like to thank you for your business and continued support.

Sincerely,

GreenGate Fresh Sales
